~I love this! I spent simply ages colorin this bugger and it looks really really good. I'm so happy. It's based a lot on my house, with da couch and da glow-in-the-dark painted lightswitch and bizarre lamp. I went a bit overboard with Vrummy's clothes at points tho. Too bad savin it as a jpg made it look whacked. Ah well.

~Kay, how ta explain this...? Hmm. I saw Rena's pic of Gothic Vrumugun and since I was practicin with folds (as other pics may show. ) I decided ta try and practice Vrummy's folds and dress him all gothy at da same time! Except he wasn't completely goth. And then Zangulus showed in and was like "LOOK AT ME I'M A RAVER!" and my brains like "WHY I RATHER LIKE THAT TANGENT" and made up this entire story about it. Which I got rather obsessed with as well. I'm so weird.
So now there's this AU fic I'm writing, and this is da first drawin of Raver-Zangulus and Vrumugun. I like how this turned out cause I put a simply INSANE AMOUNT OF DETAIL INTA IT. Vrumugun sure is a sexy guy, isn't he? Hee hee hee hee. He's really fun ta draw this way.

~I realized there was one species in Patchwork I never did. And there was one major character I never did either. I still hate Amelia, but I think that I can keep that out of serious stuff now. Anyway, projected ideas about Amelia. She won't stop growing spikes, so no one can really touch her. One of her arms tried ta take on da proportions of a hedgehog's, but failed and ended up a useless lump of muscle and dead tissue. That arm is pretty much dead and very heavy, thus da sling.

Patchwork
~An AU fic I'm workin on kinda based off da dragondemon universe kinda, but not quite. After rediscovering magic and finding bones of ancient extinct races, it's decided that they should try ta recreate da ancient races ta better understand magic and such. So they found victims and such they didn't think anyone would miss, and therefore our Patchwork experiments were born. This is a group fic identifyin which number they are and so on. I'll describe em more in detail with each individual pic.
Patchwork Lina
~Lina was kinda later along in da experiments and was their stab at dragons. She absorbed more of it then they intended, thus resulting in da dragon half of her face and her quadripedal nature. She's got vestigial wings and tail, but her arms never made da entire transformation, which is way one was grafted on later and one was left alone. Her legs went fairly easily.
Patchwork Gourry
~Gourry was actually a commision from a wealthy patron who wanted to have a butterfly hybrid. Gourry was chosen because he was deemed beautiful enough and strong enough ta take da experiments. Unfortunately, da wings Gourry grew did not look like a butterflies and could not even lift him, the only property they shared being their delicacy. His right wing broke through too much exertion, and eventually was removed to prevent any further damage. Other side-effects took place, such as da loss of his arms, which had ta be replaced, and something with his heart. Later on a proboscis tried ta sprout from his face, but was removed, thus da scar. Gourry, of course, has no idea of what they want or are tryin ta do with him, and continues taking things a day at a time without much thought. Definitly da most care-free of em all.
Patchwork Sylphiel
~Sylphiel was a study of detail and an attempt at da feline race. Most of her scars are results of small tweaks and seeing how well she adapted ta em. While her body reacted well, her spirit did not, and she tried ta kill herself several times with her own distended, clawlike fingers. Unsuccessful, she continues ta survive. Her right ear was pure experimentation, needing no new tip, but her body accepted it readily, as did alterations to individual joints and bones in her fingers, her forearms and hands being almost entirely shaped, created, and grafted on by magic. Da only part that didn't accept it well was da tail, which lost almost all it's fur except fer one tuft. Da scars on her face are self-inflicted, but unintentional.
Patchwork Zangulus
~Zangulus was their attempt at an angel, but he took on more birdlike qualities then they intended. Although his body took ta his wings willingly, they were not enough ta lift him, and in efforts ta compensate fer this by making his bones hollow, he took on more characteristics then they desired. Although his legs are feathered, they are shaped and formed more like an land animals, and his bones are, as a result of this, completely hollow. Zangulus, along with Zelgadis, did not suffer as much as some of the others did.
Patchwork Vrumugun Sketches
~Drew these before I decided where this version of Vrummy was goin. Patchwork Vrummy and Zangy were around before I figgered out what ta do with em, which is why there aren't too many pics of em alone. Either way, Vrummy was their first attempt ta create a demon from what they could remember, which wasn't perfect. Altho he had da tail, which he accepted, da wings were rejected viciously by his body and caused him great pain and sickness fer some time. They were eventually removed. It's unknown at da moment where da scars on his arms and chest came from, but da scar over his eye came from much da same source as Zelgadis' missing eyes - Rezo's desire ta cure his blindness.
Patchwork Rezo and Eris
~So who's behind all this terrible experimentation and so on? Why no other then out favorite Red Priest of course, and his psychotic assistant. In this case, however, they were employed by others because they knew enough and were skilled enough in da field ta pull off da kinda of experiments required. While they fulfill all other requirements asked of them, Rezo's preoccupation with curing his blindness causes him ta perform experiments NOT required, such as da case with Zelgadis', Vrumugun's, and several other subjects eyes. Eris performs most of the experiments as she can see.
I'm unsure as ta how Xellos is involved in all this. I can see him performin this stuff with both Rezo and Eris, and I think he was involved in da loss of Zel's fingers. But I'm not sure yet...
