Luigi:Why

Why do I like Luigi? Well, there are many reasons...
But da foremost is this.
I was always second player.
When me and my brother play video games, ta this very day I am almost always second player and therefore I am, by default, Luigi. I got really attached to the green guy, even tho he looked just like Mario in SMB1 and 3. In SMB2 he actually began ta look like himself, and I think that's when I began likin him.
I love Luigi. I identify with him kinda. Luigi cares about Mario a lot, which is da same kind of care I have fer my own brother.
I also like Luigi's color scheme better, but that's just me. It's kinda weird since normally I love da colors red and blue tagether (::coughZARSCOLORSCHEMcough::) but I dunno, I really like Luigis. I like how Luigi looks, that kinda tall, gawkish look (another thing we have in common). I love his voice (especially in Super Mario Kart 64. "I'm-a Luigi, Number One!") and his gestures and how he moves. He's younger, smarter, thinner and has a deeper voice then Mario and I just love that about him. Ya know, he's different in this neat way. I really do love Luigi a lot, just for being who he is. After years of Mario getting the spotlight, Mario getting the princess, Mario this and Mario that, he's never stopped being there to help, even if he doesn't get any credit. He's almost always there with Mario on his adventures. He doesn't even seem really jealous. In Super Mario RPG, his wish was somethin along da lines of "I wish I could be a famous plumber like my brother Mario." Awww. I think he kinda admires Mario, personally. But that's just me.
Even when Mario gets in trouble (like with Mario is Missing) Luigi is always there to come rescue him. He's never all bitter like "Mario can save himself this time, da bugger." He always seems so laidback and calm to me. Helpful and kind, no matter what happens.
I'm always so happy ta see Luigi in games. I know that he sometimes doesn't make it, but when he does I'm always happy ta see him there. Luigi is my favorite Mario character and I always play as him, even if I'm at a disadvantage (say, like Mario Golf. Poor Luigi was like, twenty ta fifty yards behind Mario. ^_^o). I loved his level on Mario Party (that reminds me, I need ta get da next ones in da series.) and his title screen.
Also, since Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga came out I've fallen in love with Luigi all over again. It just cemented my belief that Luigi and Mario really care about eachother and aren't all jealous and mean and stuff. Not only that, but Luigi gets the funniest and best sprites by far. HE CROSSDRESSES BAHAHAHAHAAAAA
But I mean, everything about him is so endearing. Even down ta his fear of bugs, his reluctance ta leave home, his complete...what's da word I'm lookin fer...darn it. Um...his complete...contentment with his homelife, I think that's it. He doesn't mind doing housework and stuff. And god, when I read his diary in Paper Mario I nearly died of cute. He's so adorable. He gets frightened, unlike most characters, and I really love that. He gets really frightened and embarassed and unsure and flustered and it's like awwww.
I don't know. To me Luigi always represents the second player, the second place, the second best, the alternate choice. As if da list of chars on da MSP itself doesn't demonstrate, I often love da secondary or hidden characters more then anythin. Luigi is no exception. I was always him when I was young ta this day, and I've grown so attached ta him.
Hee hee. "I'm-a Luigi, Number one!"
