This is a cute doujinshi that mainly centers around Cid and Vincent. It takes place when Cloud tells Cid that he has to share a room with Vincent, who doesn't seem happy about the prospect. However, once Cid gets to the room, he finds Vincent taking a shower and his claw on the bed (the claw is removable here, like a glove). So, since Vin is busy showering, Cid looks at the claw and puts it on, cause he's curious. Lo and behold, Vin comes out and freaks out, pullin da glove off and goin ta sleep unhappy. Later on, he has nightmares and wakes up ta find that Cid is also awake, so they go out drinking. Cid gets hugely drunk. Or does he...? When they get ta their room, Cid "trips" and knocks Vin on da bed, then gets this amorous look in his eyes. Vin is like "WHAAAA?!" and then there is much shouting.
Anyway, da next mornin Vin is very unhappy and Cid tries ta apologize, but not very well. Then Vin says somethin that makes Cid spaz and run off with Vin in tow and they again end up in their hotel room. Cid gives Vin a beer, which Vin takes reluctantly, and Vin points at Cid and says something, although I think he's drunk at this point. Then Vin sits on Cid, gets extremely close to him... And then he passes out. Just like that. And Cid's like "...wha...?" and then just sighs.

I should have had this up months and months ago, if not YEARS, but here it is. A very big thank ya ta Princess Artemis, who practically translated da entire thing includin kanji. SO NOW IT'LL MAKE SENSE. Here's what she says.

I'm allergic to Romaji, so I've written everything as it appears in kana...topic ha is spelled ha, not wa, and object wo is spelled wo, not o. Katakana starts with upercase. I think Ore means "I". I didn't really translate much, but I betcha the kanji help fill in the story!

The story I see: Cid decides to room with Vincent, having apparently taken a liking to him. Thinking about talking to him or maybe something more...but Vincent's in taking a shower. Cid's surprised that Vincent's arm is real, and promptly gets his own arm stuck in the brass glove. Vincent removes it violently and promptly goes to bed. Then he has dreams, about Nibelheim, about all the time he was asleep in the basement, and something about him not being able to understand ordinary things because he isn't normal. Cid gets ideas in his head, and Vincent and Cid go have a drink. Cid tells him a little about his past, then gets drunk and Vincent angrily takes him back to their room. Then Cid tries something, making Vincent even more angry, so much that he refuses to talk to Cid the next day. Cloud figures Vincent is pretty mad at Cid. Cid claims he doesn't remember what happened because he was drunk, but makes some off hand remark that yet again makes Vincent mad. Cid apologizes and asks Vincent to help him remember (I think). I *think* Vincent says he's ugly, much to Cid's shock. Vincent goes on to explain he thinks Cid only thought he was beautiful because he was drunk, and that he wouldn't think so unless he's drunk. Cid then drags Vincent off, saying it isn't a joke, he's not going to be pushy, and something about moderation. He gets Vincent a beer, says something about closed stores, heavy drinking, and a nice cool beer. Vincent says something about in his former employment he had a constitution to (or not!) to tolerate drinking. Cid just suggests a few sips, and Vincent says it's good. Vincent says he's different than human and Cid thinks to himself that Vincent's a pretty interesting guy. Vincent asks Cid what his plans are, and he says to lie down and rest...while Vincent now has plans. Vincent makes a move, Cid's pleasently surprised; Vincent says something about yesterday...then...a whole page spread of *almost* kissing and Vincent faints dead away, apparently being quite the lightweight when it comes to alcohol. Cid thinks about it, that Vincent was going to kiss him...then thinks he's beat (maybe been Vinnie-whipped, or maybe he's tired). The End.
